Tree ID is an iOS app that will help you learn how to identify trees, even when leaves are not present. This app does not simply tell you what tree you are looking at -- it helps you learn how to identify trees by their characteristics. "We could identify the tree for you and you'd be happy for a day, or we could teach you how to identify trees and you'll be happy for a lifetime." Go straight to the app in the App Store. Tree ID Smokies includes 97 trees and shrubs that are commonly found in the Smoky Mountains. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in the U.S. Most areas of the park have no internet access -- Tree ID does not require internet access. Thank goodness!
